A Tanks series that showcases the best of live and local music. This month proudly presents Jeanette Wormald, Savidas and Katie Jay.
Jeanette Wormald’s music and lyrics are inspired by the land’s people, environment and colours. Her feminine style, perceptive songs and powerful presence has earned her national and international acclaim for its celebration of Australia’s colonial and Indigenous heritage.
Bluegrass/hip hop two-piece, Savidas, have rocked some of the best venues and festivals thrilling audiences Australia wide. Born to entertain, their ability to entice the crowds with their extremely catchy songs have secured them a tour of the whole east Coast of Australia.
In her debut Tanks performance, the irrepressible Katie Jay will perform with her band The Code after wowing crowds in San Francisco and recently launching her album ‘You’re a Dreamer’. Winner of the Songwriters’ Award at the Tablelands Folk Festival with her song ‘River’, Katie’s compositions have been described as deeply personal and heart rending.
