The Artists of the North exhibition is a presentation of the talent and formidable skills of our region’s artists.
The theme for this year is My North Queensland – Then and Now. Our region is constantly changing, the environment, the people, and the climate. All of us, those Indigenous to the land, pioneering families, farmers and workers, students, backpackers, and the many, many people who choose Far North Queensland as their home, hold precious memories and moments of living here. It might be a special building, celebration, or street that they called home for many years, or maybe today is their best life!
Artists of the North attracts some of our region’s top artists – painters, sculptors, potters, and photographers – who will display their work in this annual celebration of all things Queensland. Whether you are a local or a visitor, you will find something that delights or intrigues you within this exhibition.
