Tank 4
Eco Duo are two members of the multi-disciplinary artists’ collective Eco Trio from South-East Queensland. Their individual and collaborative work connects to the landscape, creating two-dimensional art, environmental installations and performances that connect to place and site specificity.
Eco Duo enjoy involving the community with their projects, sharing their art and collaborating with the community, creating performances that share knowledge and honour the natural world. Their belief is that we are all interconnected and share a responsibility to Earth and its inhabitants.
Over recent years Eco Duo have created Mother Tree installations in the Maroochy Botanical Gardens, Nambour, and Brisbane. Now they will be creating a Tropical North Queensland iteration at Tanks Arts Centre during their three-week residency. During this time, they will create a Tropical North Queensland inspired Mother Tree Shrine installation, culminating in a closing event on 21 June that encourages visitors to share creativity and the joy of being amongst nature.
Launch, Workshop & Performance: Saturday 21 June, 10am-12pm (free)
