Sue Schreiber and Glenis Lawler, two talented local artists with complementary styles, have joined forces to celebrate the tropical beauty of Cairns Botanic Gardens. Their collaborative exhibition showcases the diverse colours and textures that inspire them.
Nature Unveiled explores the interplay between the natural world and the artists’ love for the decorative, capturing the beauty and complexity of their surroundings. Sue and Glenis are particularly drawn to the vibrant colours, diverse ecosystems, and rich heritage of Cairns.
Glenis Lawler is a seasoned artist with a deep connection to the local art scene. Her work is characterized by its bold use of colour and texture, often incorporating elements of nature and abstract ideas. Her paintings are imbued with a sense of energy and movement, capturing the spirit of the tropical landscape.
Sue Schreiber is relatively new to the Cairns scene, bringing a fresh perspective and a distinct artistic style to this collaborative project. Her work is characterized by its delicate lines, intricate details, distinct use of patterns throughout and a harmonious blend of mediums.

WORKSHOPS: Abstract drawing - from nature to patterns .
From photographs of plant species in the Cairns Botanic Gardens collection, learnt to abstract them into line and colours to create patterns from nature.
10am – 12pm each Saturday throughout the term of the exhibition.
