Our Wearable Art Headpiece Workshop, led by the experienced teacher Renee Nsengimana, is designed to ignite the artistic spark within young minds.
Nsengimana focuses on wearable art as an artistic expression. She will demonstrate how to source and transform found and recycled materials into stunning new 'fabrics' and then turn them into textured surfaces for their own wearable art headpiece.
During this 5-hour workshop, from 10am to 3pm, participants will have the chance to get inspired by Nsengimana's past students' headpieces and a range of captivating images featuring horned creatures and the microscopic world. You'll sketch out various creative ideas and select your favourite to craft into a wearable art headpiece.
We'll encourage you to expand your design concepts, play with colours, and dive deep into the fine details. This approach will help you create a truly unique and remarkable artwork you'll be proud of! For kids aged 12 - 17.
