Eloquently blending synth-folk, moody pop and soaring vocal harmonies, Babes In Canyon are a genre-bending duo creating richly layered songs that feel both intimate and cinematic.
Led by songwriters Nathan and Sophia Hamer, the pair combine ukulele, mandolin, synths, percussion and looping live instrumentation to create expansive soundscapes in real time. Their live shows seamlessly weave beats, keys, vocals and percussion into energetic, immersive performances rich with texture and emotion.
The story of Babes In Canyon began during a spontaneous songwriting session in the middle of a blackout. From that unlikely beginning emerged a distinctive sound shaped by heavy beats, evocative storytelling and synth-folk with a contemporary edge.
Expertly arranged, emotionally resonant and irresistibly catchy, their music is the perfect soundtrack for late-night drives, unexpected adventures and moments of pure escapism.
Anna Smyrk makes indie music for tender-hearted people. With a voice described as ‘truly astonishing’ by Rolling Stone, and as “one of Australia’s most compelling emerging artists" by BBC Radio, Anna is building a community all over the world through her powerful songwriting and cathartic live shows.
With alt-folk at its heart, Anna Smyrk delivers stadium-sized hooks and indie-rock vibes alongside deeply vulnerable lyrics. It’s a combo that strikes a chord; her first album recently reached #20 on the US speciality radio charts and #15 on Australia's ARIA album charts.
