The Welcoming Cairns Exhibition showcases the diverse stories of our migrant residents, and those who are doing the important work of welcoming them.
Tristan Harris hunts for cars to photograph. His hunting grounds are the streets of Cairns, the gritty, industrial areas, the shopping centre car parks, car sales yards, mechanics, and smash repairers. This is where he finds his subjects.
Liesl Hull draws everything, with anything. Whatever is in front of Liesl can become the subject of a sketch, or a watercolour painting, or a picture coloured with highlighter pens, if that’s what happens to be at hand.
